Crafty Yarn, based in the
Reading and Wokingham area of Berkshire in the UK, was
set up by Abby in early 2008.
Abby is a passionate knitter
who believes that:
"knitting is good
for your soul - it makes you slow down, be
still, calm your mind and make something
special..."
Since starting up Abby has
set up and runs several evening knitting clubs in and
around Reading for adults who are interested or
just want to go along for a chat with like
minded folk! She also runs the knitting club at
Springfield Primary School where she now has year 4 and
5 children learning to knit and even teaching each
other!
Another of Abby's aims is to bring exciting but
affordable yarns to everyone either through her market
stall in Wokingham on Saturdays, through Crafty Yarn
parties in your own home (subject to a maximum of 25
mile radius from Reading) or eventually buying direct
via the website.
Look out for Abby and her Crafty Yarn stall at craft
fairs in the area as well.... (especially those on
Sundays - well with the market stall on Saturdays, she
can't be in two places at once!)
